Dental emergencies don't wait for business hours. Severe pain, swelling, a knocked-out tooth, or a broken tooth needs attention now — not next week. We provide same-day emergency appointments to stop your pain, stabilize the situation, and give you a clear plan for what comes next.
At Smile Dental Kondapur and Vizag, emergency visits start from ₹1,000. Call us immediately and we'll make room. Pain relief and stabilization first, then a clear treatment plan with costs — no surprises when you're already stressed.

Call us immediately if...
- Severe, throbbing tooth pain that won't respond to over-the-counter painkillers
- Facial swelling near a tooth (could indicate an abscess — needs urgent care)
- A knocked-out tooth (time matters — the sooner you get here, the higher the chance of saving it)
- A broken or cracked tooth from injury or biting something hard
- Heavy bleeding from the mouth that won't stop
- A loose or dislodged tooth from trauma
- Lost filling or crown exposing sensitive tooth structure
These can wait for a regular appointment...
- Mild sensitivity to hot or cold that comes and goes
- A small chip with no pain or sharp edges
- A filling that feels slightly rough but isn't causing pain
- Routine cleaning or checkup
Not sure if it's an emergency? Call us anyway. We'd rather hear from you and say "that can wait until Monday" than have you suffer through the weekend with something that needed attention today.

What to do before you reach us
Knocked-out tooth: Pick it up by the crown (not the root), rinse gently, try to place it back in the socket or keep it in milk. Get to us within 30 minutes if possible.
Severe pain: Take ibuprofen (not aspirin — it thins blood). Apply a cold compress to the outside of your cheek. Don't put aspirin directly on the gum.
Broken tooth: Rinse with warm water. Apply cold compress for swelling. Save any broken pieces.
Heavy bleeding: Apply firm pressure with clean gauze. If bleeding doesn't slow after 20 minutes, come in immediately.
After emergency treatment
Emergency care stabilizes the situation. Follow-up treatment (root canal, crown, implant, etc.) is usually needed within days to weeks. We'll give you clear timelines and costs before you leave so there are no surprises.
Take prescribed medications as directed. If pain returns or worsens after the emergency visit, call us immediately — don't wait.
Emergency Visit: ₹1,000 - ₹3,000
The emergency visit covers assessment, pain relief, and stabilization. Additional treatment (root canal, extraction, crown) is separate and will be discussed with costs before proceeding.
We don't add emergency surcharges or inflated pricing because you're in pain. The emergency fee covers our time and materials for stabilization. Follow-up treatment is quoted at the same rates as a regular appointment.
Why waiting through dental pain is never worth it
Dental infections don't resolve on their own. The pain may temporarily subside as the nerve dies — but the infection continues spreading. What starts as a treatable problem becomes an extraction, then an implant or bridge. A ₹1,000 emergency visit today can prevent a ₹25,000-50,000 problem next month.
Dental emergency during your India visit
Call us immediately regardless of where you are in your trip. We'll stabilize the situation same-day. If follow-up treatment is needed, we'll work it into your remaining travel time. We can also provide documentation for your insurance provider abroad if needed.
Do you charge more for emergency visits?
No. Our emergency visit fee is ₹1,000-3,000 for assessment and stabilization. Any follow-up treatment is quoted at regular rates.
Can I come in without an appointment?
For genuine emergencies, yes — call us first so we can prepare. For non-emergency concerns, booking ensures we have time dedicated to you.
What if it's after hours?
Call our emergency number. We'll guide you on immediate steps and arrange the earliest possible appointment.
Will you extract my tooth in an emergency?
Only if it's the right clinical decision and you consent. Our first goal is pain relief and stabilization. We discuss all options with you before any permanent decisions.
My child knocked out a tooth — what do I do?
If it's a permanent tooth: find it, hold it by the crown, rinse gently, place it back in the socket or put it in milk, and get to us within 30 minutes. If it's a baby tooth: don't try to replant it. Come in so we can check for any damage to the developing permanent tooth underneath.
