Only if it is the right clinical choice and you agree. The first goal is pain relief and a stable tooth. Many teeth can be saved, and we talk through every option before anything permanent is done.
My child knocked out a tooth. What do I do?
If it is an adult tooth, hold it by the crown, rinse it gently, put it back in the socket or keep it in milk, and come in within 30 minutes if you can. If it is a baby tooth, do not put it back; bring your child in so we can check the adult tooth underneath.
My crown or filling fell out. Is that an emergency?
If the tooth hurts or has a sharp edge, come in the same day and we cover it with a temporary filling. If it does not hurt, keep the crown safe and book the next normal appointment; it can often be cemented back.
