Are veneers permanent, or can I go back later?

Will veneers damage my own teeth?
Done properly, no. Porcelain needs about 0.3 to 0.7 mm of enamel removed, which is permanent, so it is kept as thin as your result allows. If you want to keep all your enamel, whitening, bonding or straightening may get you the result instead.
