Dentures replace multiple missing teeth with custom-made removable prosthetics that restore your ability to chew, speak, and smile. Modern dentures look far more natural than the ones your grandparents wore — and options like flexible dentures and implant-supported dentures offer much better comfort and stability.
At Smile Dental Kondapur and Vizag, dentures start from ₹15,000. We offer complete dentures (full arch), partial dentures (some teeth remaining), flexible options, and implant-supported dentures for maximum stability.

Dentures may be right for you if...
- You're missing most or all teeth in one or both arches
- Implants aren't an option due to health, bone, or budget constraints
- You want to restore chewing ability and facial appearance
- You need a faster, less invasive solution than implants
- You have some healthy teeth remaining (partial dentures fill the gaps)
This works best when...
- You understand dentures are removable — if you want fixed teeth, implants or All-on-4 may be better options
- You're willing to adapt to wearing them (there's a 2-4 week adjustment period)
- You'll return for adjustments — the fit changes as your gums and bone change over time
- You'll maintain daily cleaning of the dentures and any remaining natural teeth
If stability is your main concern, we'll discuss implant-supported dentures — removable but much more secure than conventional dentures.
Visit 1: Assessment + Impressions
- We examine your mouth, remaining teeth, gums, and bone
- Impressions taken for custom fabrication
- Discussion of options (complete, partial, flexible, implant-supported)
Visit 2: Wax Try-In
- Wax model of your dentures tried in to check fit, bite, and appearance
- You see how they'll look before the final version is made
- Adjustments to tooth position, color, or shape if needed
Visit 3: Delivery
- Final dentures fitted
- Bite checked and adjusted
- We show you how to insert, remove, and clean them
Follow-up (1-2 weeks later)
- Check for sore spots
- Adjust fit as needed
- Most patients need 1-3 adjustment visits as they adapt
The adjustment period
The first 2-4 weeks are the hardest. Dentures feel bulky and strange at first. Speaking may feel different. Eating takes practice — start with soft foods and cut things small. This all gets easier. By week 4, most patients say it feels normal.
Sore spots
Common in the first few weeks as your gums adapt to the new pressure. Come in for adjustments — we can relieve sore spots in minutes.
Daily care
Remove and clean dentures daily with a soft brush and denture cleaner (not toothpaste — it's too abrasive). Soak overnight. Clean your gums and any remaining natural teeth. Don't sleep with dentures in — your gums need rest.
Long-term
Dentures typically need relining every 2-3 years and replacement every 5-8 years as your gums and bone change shape. Regular checkups are important even with full dentures — we monitor gum health and check for oral diseases.
Dentures: ₹15,000 - ₹45,000
- Complete dentures (upper or lower): ₹15,000-40,000
- Partial dentures: ₹10,000-30,000
- Flexible dentures (Valplast): ₹20,000-45,000 — more comfortable, no metal clasps
- Implant-supported dentures: ₹1,50,000-3,50,000 — snap onto implants for stability
We discuss all options honestly. Sometimes the cheapest option is appropriate. Sometimes investing in implant-supported dentures prevents years of frustration with loose conventional dentures.
The real difference between cheap and quality dentures
Budget dentures use stock teeth and basic materials. They function, but they often look flat and don't match your facial features. Quality dentures use layered, characterized teeth matched to your complexion and face shape. The difference in appearance and comfort is significant — and you wear them every day.
Dentures during your India visit
Complete or partial dentures need 3-5 visits over 3-4 weeks. Plan your trip accordingly.
- Visits 1-2: Assessment + impressions + wax try-in
- Visit 3: Delivery + adjustments
- Follow-up: 1-2 adjustment visits before you leave
Cost comparison: Complete dentures in India: ₹15,000-40,000. Same in US: ₹60,000-2,00,000. In UK: ₹45,000-1,50,000.
Will dentures look natural?
Quality dentures look very natural. We match tooth shade, shape, and arrangement to your face. Most people won't be able to tell you're wearing dentures.
Can I eat normally with dentures?
After the adjustment period, most foods are fine. Very hard or very sticky foods remain challenging. Implant-supported dentures handle nearly all foods including things like apples and corn on the cob.
Do dentures hurt?
They shouldn't. Sore spots during the first few weeks are normal and easily adjusted. If dentures consistently hurt, the fit needs correction — don't suffer through it.
How long do dentures last?
5-8 years typically. Relining every 2-3 years extends their life. Your gums and bone change over time, so fit changes too.
Dentures vs implants?
Dentures are removable, less expensive, and non-surgical. Implants are fixed, more stable, and last longer. We discuss which fits your situation, budget, and priorities.
