Mild crowding on the front six teeth is a short job. A deep bite, a jaw that sits back, or a tooth that never came through is a longer one. Longer means more visits, and the price reflects that. This is the biggest factor, and the only way to know it is a scan.
The price list above is really a menu of how visible the braces are and how many visits you want to make. Metal does the job well and costs least. Self-ligating systems cut down the visit count, which matters if you work in HITEC City and every appointment is a battle with the Gachibowli flyover. Ceramic costs more because the brackets are harder to make and easier to break.
In a child who is still growing, the jaw does part of the work for free. Dr. Rajesh Kumar is a Facial Orthopedist, which means he treats the growing jaw and not just the teeth sitting in it. When growth is on your side, treatment is often simpler and the appliance list is shorter. This is why we like to see children around age seven, even if nothing gets done that day. The seven-year check is a look, not a commitment.
In adults, the bone is set. Teeth still move well at 30, 40 and beyond. It just takes a bit longer, and the plan has to work with the jaw you have.
