What it's like to live with
Worn teeth happen slowly, so most people don't notice until the teeth look short or chip easily. Many people grind at night and don't know it.
The question that mattered
How much height had the teeth lost, and how should the new bite meet?
What we looked at
Both jaws, and models of the teeth set together, so the bite could be studied outside the mouth.

What we decided, and why
Plan the new teeth in wax first, so the shape and the bite are worked out before any tooth is prepared.
What we did
The wax plan became the guide for the crowns. The crowns were made and checked on the models, then fitted in the mouth.

What you see now
Full-length teeth in both jaws, meeting evenly.
What this means for you
If your teeth look shorter than they used to, or keep chipping, get the bite checked. Wear is easier to handle early.
Every mouth is different. Your plan depends on your own check-up.

Questions people ask
Why do teeth wear down?
Grinding, acidic food and drinks, and age are common reasons.
Can worn teeth be built back up?
Yes, usually with crowns, after the new bite is planned.
Will it happen again?
If grinding is the cause, a night guard is often advised to protect the new teeth.
